Garrett has over a decade of experience originating, structuring, executing and managing transactions and investments across a range of sectors including business services, industrials, technology, consumer products and asset management. During this time, Garrett has served as a Board Director, CFO and corporate development executive.

Prior to SGIO’s formation, Garrett was a partner at INFOR Financial Group – a leading Canadian independent investment and merchant bank – where he served the North American lower middle, and middle market.

Garrett began his career at Deloitte after graduating with a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) from Queen’s University. He is a Chartered Accountant and a CFA charterholder.

Sobia has over a decade of experience as an accounting professional conducting accounting, tax and financial reporting.

Sobia has held roles at the Schwartz Reisman Group, the Investment Corporation of Dubai and BDO Canada.

Sobia began her career at Devon Energy after graduating with a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Calgary and is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA).

Hingyee is responsible for administration and executive support. Prior to joining SGIO, Hingyee was an Executive Assistant at Actis LLP and BNP Paribas.

After travelling and working in Asia, Hingyee began her administrative career at IHG Hotels & Resorts, and holds a BA in English Language and Comparative Literature from the University of Kent.

Hingyee supports the team and select members of the Advisory Board.
